Cannot delete directory in Aria Suite Lifecycle

Issue/Introduction

Unable to delete a directory within VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle Directory Management. The UI returns the following exception during the deletion attempt: {"errors":[{"code":"internal.server.error","message":"Internal Server Error","parameters":null}]}

Environment

VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18.0

VMware Identity Manager (vIDM) 3.3.7

Cause

The directory cannot be deleted directly from Aria Suite Lifecycle because it remains actively configured and synchronized within the backing identity provider, VMware Identity Manager (vIDM) 

Resolution

• Log in to the VMware Identity Manager (vIDM) UI.

• Navigate to Identity & Access Management > Directories.

• Remove the target directory from vIDM.

• Return to Aria Suite Lifecycle Directory Management and retry the directory deletion.
