Issue/Introduction

When trying to deployment the AVI Load Balaner from VCF Operations it fails on fetching NXS ALB Cluster

Error seen in UI: 

• Description

  Configure backup on Avi Load Balancer

• Progress Messages

  Failed to fetch NSX ALB Clusters.

• Error

  Message: Failed to fetch NSX ALB Clusters.
  Remediation Message: Verify that the commonsvcs service is running in the
  SDDC Manager appliance and that the SDDC Manager inventory API is
  accessible and running. Then, try again the operation.

  Cause: Retry execution failed for getNsxALBClustersDataByld: All 3 retry
  attempts failed for getNsxALBClustersDataByld API call. Last exception: All 3

In the SDDC Mnaager logs: /var/log/vmware/vcf/commonsvc/vcf-commonsvc.log

When checking the SDDC Manager Postgres database we can see that the ID stored there does not match the ID given in the logs. 

 

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1

Resolution

• Uninstall the current failed AVI Load balancer deployment from VCF Operations
• Try an fresh install of the AVI Load Balancer from VCF Operations
