Getting Librarian 101 UPDATE FAILURE: IOU098E ENQUEUE OF MASTER FILE INDEX FAILED.  Is there a way to resolve it?

Resolution

The message IOU098E ENQUEUE OF MASTER FILE INDEX FAILED means that the master file is held by another job or task. Could be a –scan or librscan job is running. You can issue a TSO  WHOHAS command and this should indicate the userid so you can determine what has enqueue the master file.
