Upgraded vDefend 9.1 and Avi 32.1.1 Licenses Are Not Reflected in AVI Cloud Console for Cloud Service Providers

Issue/Introduction

Cloud Service Provider (CSP) customers may encounter an issue after upgrading licenses for vDefend 9.1 and Avi 32.1.1 through the Support Consumption Portal.

Although the license upgrade process completes successfully within the portal, the upgraded license entitlement may not be properly reflected within AVI Cloud Console.

This issue can prevent CSP customers from consuming the upgraded license entitlements required for vDefend 9.1 and Avi 32.1.1 deployments.

Symptoms

Customers may observe one or more of the following symptoms:

• License upgrades complete successfully within the Support Consumption Portal.
• Upgraded license entitlements do not appear in AVI Cloud Console and cannot be consumed despite a successful upgrade operation.

Environment

 

• VMware vDefend 9.1
• VMware Avi Load Balancer 32.1.1

Cause

A known issue exists in the licensing workflow for Cloud Service Provider environments.

Following a license upgrade through the Support Consumption Portal, the generated license identifier may not be properly associated with the vDefend 9.1 and Avi LB 32.1.1 entitlement model. As a result, the upgraded entitlement may not be reflected correctly within AVI Cloud Console.

This issue has been observed in Cloud Service Provider environments and does not affect Enterprise Customer licensing workflows.

Resolution

This issue has been resolved as of August 2026 with the general availability (GA) release of License Hub 2.0 . The fix for the ANS SKUs new licensing upgrade blocker for CSPs (consumption portal) is now live.
