Issue/Introduction

Administrators may require a comprehensive report detailing all virtual machines (VMs), the specific portgroups they are connected to, and the associated VLAN IDs or trunk ranges across the infrastructure. Generating this manually via the vSphere Client can be highly time-consuming in large-scale environments.

This article provides a centralized SQL query that can be executed directly against the vCenter Server Appliance database (VCDB) to gather this inventory mapping.
