U00065004 Error on File Events After Windows Agent Upgrade to V24.4.x.

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading Windows agents from version 21.x to 24.4.x (Java-based agents), File Events executed without a Login object fail. The following error message appears in the Agent log:

U00065004 File event '[RunID]' without login information is not allowed.

Environment

• Automation Engine: 24.x
• Agent: Windows Agent 24.4.x (specifically observed on 24.4.0 and 24.4.4 HF1)
• Scenario: Upgrade from V21.x C-based agents to V24.x Java-based agents.

Cause

This issue is currently being tracked via defect DE203635.

Resolution

Update the Windows Agent to version 24.4.4 HF2. Engineering has confirmed that this version addresses the regression and allows anonymous file events to proceed as expected when ANONYMOUS_FE=Y is set.

Update to a fixed version listed below or a newer version if available.

Workarounds:

• Option A (Agent Config):
  1. Open the Agent .ini file.
  2. Add or modify the parameter logon=0 in the [ENVIRONMENT] section.
  3. Restart the Agent service.
• Option B (Object level):
  1. Edit the affected File Event object.
  2. In the Attributes tab, assign a valid Login (LOGIN) object.
