Issue/Introduction

This article provides information regarding the certification and support of CA Privileged Access Manager Server Control (PAMSC) 14.1 CP08 endpoint on Amazon Linux 2023 with kernel version 6.1.170-213.321.

Environment

  • Product: CA Privileged Access Manager Server Control (PAMSC) - Endpoint

  • Operating System: Amazon Linux 2023

  • Kernel Version: 6.1.170-213.321.amzn2023.x86_64

  • PAMSC Version: 14.1 CP08

Cause

Amazon Linux kernels are frequently updated by the vendor. Broadcom Engineering certifies these kernels on a request basis to ensure compatibility with latest security remediations, such as CVE-2026-46333.

Resolution

Support for Amazon Linux 2023 kernel 6.1.170-213.321 is available. Follow these steps to enable support:

  1. Open a support case to request the specific SEOS_syscall and CoExTrace module files generated for kernel 6.1.170-213.321.

  2. Download the files provided by support: SEOS_syscall.20230-autogen-61170-213321-AMZNX86_64.MP.ko and CoExTrace.20230-autogen-61170-213321-AMZNX86_64.ko.
  3. Copy the modules to the bin directory of the PAMSC installation.
  4. Restart PAMSC services.

Subsequent kernel versions above 6.1.170 are targeted for certification upon request.
