Issue/Introduction

  • Canceling a vLCM image update task in SDDC Manager does not stop the corresponding update task in vCenter Server.

Environment

SDDC Manager 5.2

Cause

This issue occurs because SDDC Manager 5.2 fails to send the cancelation request to vCenter Server due to a known issue.

Resolution

After canceling the upgrade task in SDDC Manager, interrupt the remaining update process by navigating to vSphere Client > [Target Cluster] > Updates > Image, and clicking the SKIP REMAINING HOSTS button.
