Issue/Introduction

When viewing the Machines page in Automation Analytics & Intelligence (AAI), the usability of the machine data graph is limited due to a lack of visual context and explanatory documentation.

• Expected Behavior: The graph should feature clear labels or commentary explaining what the reflected values represent, and the support documentation should detail how machine data is plotted.

• Actual Behavior: There are no indicators on the graph to clarify the represented values. Because the graph utilizes a bucket system with fixed intervals that adjust based on the selected time range, the displayed information can appear misleading without proper context. Furthermore, the current product documentation does not provide insights into how these data graphs are plotted in relation to the bucket system.

Cause

This behavior is due to a product limitation where graph clarity and corresponding documentation were not fully realized for the bucket system implementation. This issue is currently being tracked and addressed under defect ID DE192204.

Resolution

This issue has been confirmed by engineering and is Targeted to be fixed in a future release.
