Issue/Introduction

After upgrading the IG FTP Agent to version 24.1.3 or higher, FTP jobs may fail with a Java reflection error. This occurs when the agent attempts to configure SSL session reuse while running on Java 17 or Java 21.

Symptoms The Job Report contains the following error: Unable to configure Session RE-usejava.lang.reflect.InaccessibleObjectException: Unable to make field private final sun.security.util.Cache sun.security.ssl.SSLSessionContextImpl.sessionHostPortCache accessible: module java.base does not "opens sun.security.ssl" to unnamed module ####

Cause

DE184769

A problem with the FTP Agent on FTPS has been solved where, when the FTP Agent was running on Java 17 or later, FTPS (FTP over TLS/SSL) file transfers could fail with an error logged by the Agent.

Update to a fix version listed below or a newer version if available.
