iDash support for configuring Apache Tomcat with Oracle UCP

Issue/Introduction

Would like to enable Oracle Universal Connection Pool (UCP) for iDash Apache Tomcat server to take advantage of the Oracle Application Continuity during DB patching.

Is Oracle UCP compatible with iDash?

Environment

iDash server (Apache Tomcat) using an Oracle database

Resolution

At this time, iDash is not certified or supported for use with Oracle Universal Connection Pool (UCP)
While Apache Tomcat can be configured to support UCP, iDash is designed and validated to operate using standard JDBC connections.
There are no plans at this time to support UCP but it will be added to the backlog and prioritised at a later date.
