Importing an External-CA signed certificate in VCF Operations fails with error "The provided certificate content is invalid"

Issue/Introduction

In the VCF Operations UI > Fleet Management > Certificates > Import Certificate throws the error "The provided certificate content is invalid"  when attempting to validate the certificate chain before importing. 

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x 

Resolution

Ensure the root certificate contains all required certificate content (e.g. Root and Intermediate certificates) and the chain order is correct. See Replace a Certificate with an External CA-Signed Certificate.
