Issue/Introduction

The RACF Callable Service 'r_admin' can be used to issue Top Secret TSS admininstrator commands and return the output data within a user written program.

RACF has a 4k limit of output data that can be returned via r_admin.

Is there any limitation to the amount of data passed back by Top Secret administrative commands such as TSS LIST for a large acid with many PERMITs and PROFILEs?

 

 

Resolution

There is no limit to the amount of data passed back by Top Secret TSS administrative commands via an r_admin call.
