Issue/Introduction

Question:

Why does CA 7 produce the following message:  CA-7.093 CA-7/VTAM LOGON FOR xxxxxxxx REJECTED. VTAM ID NOT DEFINED?

Answer:

1. The most common cause is due to the number of virtual terminals defined to CA7 in the Initialization File has been exceeded.

2. If you are using dedicated VTAM terminals, a logon was rejected because the VTAM terminal is not defined to CA 7 with a TERM statement in the initialization file.
