Issue/Introduction

Why does CA 7 produce the following message:  CA-7.093 CA-7/VTAM LOGON FOR xxxxxxxx REJECTED. VTAM ID NOT DEFINED?

Resolution

The most common cause is due to the number of virtual terminals defined to CA7 in the Initialization File has been exceeded.

If you are using dedicated VTAM terminals, a logon was rejected because the VTAM terminal is not defined to CA 7 with a TERM statement in the initialization file.
