Abend S806 in module TNPCIRPT during Telon V5.1 Import

Issue/Introduction

Users upgrading from Telon Application Generator V4.0 to V5.1 encounter an Abend S806 (Module Not Found) during the REPORT step of the Import Panel. The error indicates that module TNPCIRPT cannot be found in the CAWLLOAD library.

Environment

• Product: Telon Application Generator
• Release: 5.1 (Upgrade from 4.0)
• Component: TDF Import Utility / Data Administration

Resolution

1. Identify the Utility: Use the JUMDEF utility job for the import process.
2. Specify Options: Ensure the Merge option is specified to properly import Data Administration information.
3. Verify Libraries: Confirm that the V5.1 CAWLLOAD and CAWLINST libraries are correctly allocated in your JCL or CLIST.
4. Batch Execution: Run the JUMDEF job outside of the TDF after ensuring that TNBPIRPT module is the module being executed in the corresponding proc TLNUMDEF delivered with release 5.1.

 

 

Additional Information

If verification is needed, please check your older Telon V4.0 libraries; the TNPCIRPT module will be present there, confirming it was part of the legacy environment and is no longer required in V5.1.
