In CA Client Automation (ITCM) version 14.6.0, users may find that they cannot launch the DSM Reporter directly from the DSM Explorer Tools menu.
When clicking Tools- > *DSM Reporter, the application does not start.
No error messages or warnings appear in the CAF logs or Windows Event Viewer.
The DSM Reporter only launches if the DSM Explorer is explicitly opened using "Run as Administrator".
This behavior differs from version 14.5.x, where elevated privileges were not required to launch the DSM Reporter from the Tools menu.
Client Automation 14.6
All Supported Windows Operating Systems
The DSM Explorer requires elevated administrative privileges to trigger the execution of the DSM Reporter component in ITCM 14.6
A formal fix has been developed to resolve this behavior and restore the ability to launch DSM Reporter without requiring the DSM Explorer to be run as an administrator.
Please contact Broadcom Support to request the fix.
Note: The fix will be included in the next release of Client Automation. As of June 2026, there is no ETA as to when the next release of Client Automation will be released.
