Issue/Introduction

 

• Deploying VCF Management components fails with the following error in the UI. 

The SDDC lifecycle task 'Configure service' (######-####-####-#########) failed. An unexpected error occurred in step configure_sddc_lcm_task_ref. Reference Code: ########. Please contact support with this reference code. Detail: Unexpected server error has occurred

 

• The following can be seen in the logs : /VCFMgmtComponents/vcf-management-services/services-logs/vcf-sddc-lcm/#####-#######/vcf-sddc-build-service-sddcbuild/sddcbuild/console-log-########.log

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1

Cause

The SDDC-build service cannot communicate with the SDDC Fleet service as the required ports for communication were not open.

Resolution

Allow communication through required ports.  VMware required Ports and Protocols
