Issue/Introduction

• VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.1 deployment fails during the "Deploy and Validate" phase. The VCF Installer appliance cannot retrieve necessary component binaries .
• VCF Installer UI shows error: Could not retrieve binary for component [Component_Name]

Environment

Cause

Corresponding binaries are not downloaded into the VCF installer.

Resolution

1. Corresponding binaries are not downloaded into the VCF installer In a web browser, log in to the VMware Cloud Foundation Installer appliance administration interface: https://installer_appliance_FQDN.
2. Enter the admin@local user and password that you provided when you deployed the appliance and then click Log In.
3. Click Depot Settings and Binary Management.
4. In the Binary Management section, select a product and version from the drop-down menus.
5. The user interface lists all the required binaries for your deployment, including information about the file size and download status.
6. Select the binaries to download and click Download.
7. The VCF Installer downloads and validates the binaries. Progress is displayed in the Download Status column.
