Issue/Introduction

In a Distributed SpectroSERVER (DSS) environment, what communication ports are used by the Modeling Gateway to allow a remote export/import between two SpectroSERVERs?

Resolution

The Spectrum Modeling Gateway uses the CORBA ports to communicate between two SpectroSERVERs. Therefore you will need to have these ports open across any firewalls that are between two SpectroSERVERs you are attempting to run a remote import or export.

The CORBA communication ports used by the SpectroSERVERs are TCP ports 14001-14004, and TCP port 14006.
