Issue/Introduction

When SD (screen definitions) have been imported from release 4.x to release 5.x Telon Design Facility (TDF), why is the data administration (vsam files) not imported into option 2 of the 5.x TDF?

Resolution

To successfully populate data administration information back into a TDF from an exported source, you must specify the Merge Option when running JUMDEF to import. Follow these specific requirements:

1. Setting:
   • It is recommended to use MAXSEVR=12 when running the import with RUNTYPE=M (Merge).
   • The merge operation may fail if the maximum severity is set to a value lower than 12.
