Can you Copy CA View Tapes, to New Media, not using a View Utility?

Issue/Introduction
Symptom:
Client receives the following error when trying to access a report from a tape:
SARTPI42 Tape allocation failed ERR=1708 INFO=0000 DSN=....SARTAPE.T0000429
SARTPI44 DUPLEX Tape does not exist or does not contain file - TSQ=429
Environment: z/OS
Cause:
The client needed to move tape content to new media, and had used a third-party product to do so.
The client subsequently received the dynamic allocation error, on the tape request, because the tape was not in the catalog.
A run of SARPAC REPORT showed that the client had several NOCAT (not cataloged) tapes, all of which could be associated to their having used the third-party product to do the tape copying.
Resolution:
The client was able to catalog all of the NOCAT tapes, then they were able to use the SARPAC utility to move reports to new media.
