Issue/Introduction

This error message appears after the LMPKEY for EF (Tape Encryption Option for Third Party TMS) expired.
Message occurs when trying to Encrypt a tape file.

Environment

CA/1 R14.0 only using BES (Tape Encryption).

CA/1 R14.0 is EOS on August 15, 2026.

Cause

The client was back level on CA/1 R14.0

Resolution

It was decided to provide the EF key until the date R14.0 goes EOS.
This needed to be approved by Support Management.
