Issue/Introduction

This article will discuss the purpose of "expired invites" and how the PGP Encryption Cloud Server handles expiration for managed external users. 

 

Resolution

By default, the PGP Encryption Cloud Server enforces strict activity-based renewal policies to ensure security. 
If a user does not interact with the server within the configured interval, their invitation or key status may transition to "Expired."

In order for the external recipients to get the invite again, the email from the internal user should be re-sent, and thus, triggering the encryption policy on ESS, and subsequently, the encryption will then take place on PGP Encryption Cloud Server with a new invite.
