vAPI endpoint and Cis license health status alarm triggered in vCenter server.

Issue/Introduction

Alarm triggered for the health status of services: vAPI endpoint and Cis license when checking Monitor --> Triggered alarms or All issues as mentioned below. 

Environment

vCenter server 8.0.x

Cause

• This vAPI alarm is typically a transient alarm that may likely triggered by restarting services or during the reconfiguration of dependency services.
  
  
• The Cis license alarm will be triggered due to token expiration for license service. When the token expires, clock tolerance is ignored during token refresh.

Resolution

• To resolve this issue, acknowledge alarm or reset it to green in vCenter server and then perform restart of associated services. 
  
   Select the Monitor tab click Triggered Alarms, and select the active alert.
   Click Reset to Green or Acknowledge Alarm.
  
  
• Restarted the services: 
  service-control restart vmware-cis-license 
service-control restart vmware-vapi-endpoint


• Monitor the vCenter server check if the alarm reappears.
