Issue/Introduction

  • Navigating in VCF Operations to the Manage > Fleet Management page shows a page that says
    Fleet Settings is utilized to perform various administration tasks on your VMware cloud foundation instance.
    
    ✓ Ensure consistent NTP configuration
    ✓ Centrally managed DNS settings
    ✓ Manage password policies across your fleet
    
    To get started, check the applicable license documentation or talk to your sales representative.

Environment

VCF Operations 9.1.0

Cause

The requirements for the Fleet Management page to fully load are:

  1. VCF Management Services are deployed and running
  2. Salt RaaS and Salt master components are deployed and running
  3. The VCF adapter is configured and healthy
  4. The vCenter version of the management vCenter is 9.1.0 or higher.

Resolution

Validate the requirements for the Fleet Management page

  1. Log in to VCF Operations and navigate to Build > Lifecycle > VCF Management > Components and validate that the required VCF Management Services components are present
    • VCF services runtime
    • Salt RaaS
    • Salt master
  2. Click on each required component and validate the Status is "Running"
  3. Navigate to Manage > Licensing > License & Registrations > Version 9+ and validate the vCenter Systems show "Yes" in the Fully Licensed column
  4. Navigate to Operate > Administration > Integrations and expand the VMware Cloud Foundation grouping
  5. Validate the VCF integration(s) show "Collecting" in the Status column
  6. Expand the Management domain
  7. Validate the vCenter shows 9.1.0 (or higher) in the Version column
