VMware Tools 13 not visible on Broadcom Support Portal download page

Issue/Introduction

• Unable to find VMware Tools version 13.x in the standard product download list.
• Only versions up to 12.5.4 are visible under the primary entitlements section.

Environment

• Broadcom Support Portal
• VMware vSphere ESXi 7.x, 8.x
• VMware Tools 

Cause

VMware Tools 13.x and higher are hosted within the "Free Software Downloads" section of the portal, which is separate from the standard product download repository.

Resolution

For release 13.x and higher, use the following steps to download the software:

1. Log in to the Broadcom Support Portal.
2. Navigate to the Free Downloads section using this direct link: VMware Tools Free Downloads.
3. Select version 13.x from the dropdown menu and choose the required release (e.g., 13.0.5).
4. Accept the Terms and Conditions and click the download button.
