Issue/Introduction

A customer is requesting a modification to their existing license entitlement, such as:

  • Extending the license validity period (e.g., due to project or shipping delays).
  • Requesting a grace period for an expired or soon-to-expire subscription.
  • Modifying the seat count or throughput allowance on an active license.
  • Correcting an incorrect Service End Date.

Resolution

Technical Support and Global Customer Assistance (GCA) do not have the legal or commercial authority to extend, modify, or authorize grace periods for license subscriptions. These actions require a commercial review of the customer's contract and must be handled through the designated sales channel.

Customers must contact their commercial representative to request a license extension or modification:

  1. Account Manager/Sales Representative: The primary point of contact for all contractual modifications.

  2. Broadcom Partner/Reseller: If the license was purchased through a partner or distributor, the customer must contact them to initiate the request.

  3. Partner Locator: If the customer is unaware of their partner or account manager, they can use the Broadcom Partner Locator to find their contact information.

Additional Information

Should your license be extended by Sales but not yet shown in the Support Portal, Reach out to Broadcom Customer Care. Ensure you provide your renewal contract number or any other confirmation you received as proof. For more information, please see Contact Broadcom support.
