Error: APK411S or APK413I during SARFSS ACIF processing after IBM APKACIF maintenance (View)

Issue/Introduction

When running SARFSS ACIF collector processing after applying specific IBM maintenance to module APKACIF, jobs fail with various APK errors including APK411S, APK412I, and APK413I. This issue occurs because the current View ACIF collector is not compatible with the latest IBM APKACIF updates.

The following errors are observed in the SARFSS task logs:

 

SARACI22 SAR FSA-#### processing ####(JOB####) STEP ACIF1 SYS#### FAILED, RETURN CODE 9.

APK411S AN ERROR OCCURRED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO READ FROM THE DDNAME SYS, RETURN CODE 2.

APK412I MODULE APKSRIAX HAS RETURNED WITH RETURN CODE 255.

APK413I ATTEMPTED OPEN OF RESOURCE FILE 'PARMDD', RESOURCE MEMBER NAME ' ' FAILED, RETURN CODE 9.

APK441I ACIF AT R470-UO06242 HAS COMPLETED ABNORMALLY WITH RETURN CODE 16.

Environment

*   Broadcom View for z/OS

*   IBM ACIF module APKACIF with maintenance:

    *   PTF UO02709 (APAR PH65028)

    *   PTF UO06242 (APAR PH68547)

Cause

The Broadcom View ACIF collector is incompatible with the structural changes introduced in IBM APKACIF PTFs UO02709 and UO06242.

Resolution

OM View PTF LU20322 is available to address this issue 

To circumvent the immediate issue until the corrective PTF can be applied use the following workaround:

1. Revert the IBM APKACIF module to the version prior to the application of PTF UO02709 or UO06242.
2. Refresh the LINKLIST or the library containing the reverted APKACIF module.
3. Restart the SARFSS task.
4. Reprocess the reports that failed.
