Issue/Introduction

The following error is observed in the ESXi vpxa.log or forwarded syslogs :

Vpxa[#####]: [Originator@6876 sub=Default opID=...] [VpxLRO] -- ERROR lro-##### -- vpxa -- vpxapi.VpxaService.GetVmScreenshot: :vim.fault.HttpFault

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 8.x

Cause

When the display subsystem is busy or a transient timeout occurs due to temporary process or I/O contention, requests for a VM console preview from the vSphere Client "Summary" tab, or for a screenshot from a third-party API tool, may fail and trigger this error.

Resolution

This log entry is  cosmetic and indicates a failure to render a visual preview window. It does not affect guest operating system execution, virtual machine hardware stability, or underlying network datapath operations.
