Unable to configure integration account for TAM Management Pack in Aria Operations

Issue/Introduction

Administrators are unable to integrate or configure endpoint credentials for the Technical Adoption Manager (TAM) Management Pack within VMware Aria Operations. The option to add an account or configure the adapter instance is missing, or integration attempts fail.

Cause

The TAM Management Pack does not require a dedicated integration, adapter instance, or endpoint credential configuration to function. It operates natively by analyzing metrics and properties already collected by the core vCenter adapter and other existing integrations.

Resolution

 

• Install the TAM Management Pack .pak file via the standard Repository installation workflow in VMware Aria Operations.

• Bypass the integration configuration step; do not attempt to add an account or adapter instance for the TAM Management Pack.

• Navigate directly to the Dashboards, Reports, or Views section to access the TAM Management Pack content.

• Verify that data populates in the TAM dashboards, confirming that it is successfully leveraging existing collected metrics.
