Issue/Introduction

Sometimes it is necessary to take some back up or to validate what changed when in your web-isolation tenant.

How can this be done with the current web-isolation portal?

Environment

Web-isolation tenant prior to the migration to Cloud SWG.

Resolution

The web-isolation management portal provided access to the policy with version history as indicated in the Techdocs [1].

Here is a view of the "Management > Policy versions" page from a test tenant:

The Actions column allows you to download or view / edit the policy JSON file for pushed policies.

Important support note: Broadcom does not provide support on the exported JSON files.

The exported policy files can be handled by python or any other type of programs that can discover and display the JSON content, whether the script or tools are hand-crafted or AI generated.
