Issue/Introduction

  • Error message: "Unable to create Network Profile" appears in the HCX UI.
  • Failure during the Network Profile creation wizard.
  • HCX logs indicate an NSX inventory sync failure: ERROR c.v.v.h.s.n.NsxTInventorySyncJob- Failed to update NsxT Inventory org.codehaus.jettison.json.JSONException: JSONObject["vcuuid"] not found

Environment

VMware HCX

Cause

The NSX used for the integration did not have a compute manager setup

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

  1. Add a compute manager in NSX manager UI
  2. Re-enter the NSX credential in HCX manager VAMI UI
  3. Restart the HCX services
