Issue/Introduction

When attempting to export data to CSV format from the Metric Report section in the Operator Console (OC), the exported files are generated but contain no data (empty file).

  • The metrics are visible and correctly displayed within the OC charts and the Performance Report Designer.
  • Metric data is confirmed to be present in the database.
  • The issue specifically affects the CSV export functionality in the Metric Report section (and the database_size qos collected by the sqlserver probe)

Environment

  • Product: DX Unified Infrastructure Management (UIM)
  • Version: 23.4 up to CU7
  • Component: Operator Console (OC) / wasp / sqlserver probe 

Cause

This issue is caused by a code-level defect in the Operator Console metric export logic. The system fails to correctly populate the CSV renderer with the selected metric data during the export process.

Resolution

This issue is identified as a software defect and is scheduled to be resolved in a future release (CU8) planned for July 2026.

Workaround

While a direct workaround for the Metric Report CSV export is not available, customers can use the following alternatives to access the data:

  1. Performance Report Designer (PRD): Use PRD to view and manage reports, as metrics are confirmed to be appearing correctly there.
  2. PDF Export: Export the report as a PDF if a visual representation is sufficient for the business need.

Note: Once DX UIM 23.4 CU8 is released, apply the patch to fully resolve the CSV export behavior.
