Issue/Introduction

We are currently experiencing an issue where the net_connect probe is generating false alarms. This problem began after we downgraded from CU6 to CU4. Despite redeploying the probe, we continue to receive constant incidents even though the appliance is confirmed to be up and running.

 

Environment

  • DX UIM 23.4 CU6, downgraded to CU4
  • net_connect probe versions 4.01 and 3.44

Cause

  • niscache

Resolution

  1. Use the controller probe utility in expert mode to clear the niscache and reset the robot device id, then
  2. Acknowledge any existing-current alarms
  3. False net_connect alarms should stop
