Cannot convert entered currency to base currency

Issue/Introduction

We have deployed the CITs workspace, and upon creating new instances, we can change the Billing Currency Code, but are blocked when trying to change the Currency Code.

Error Message:

"'INV-0008: Cannot convert entered currency to base currency."

 

Cause

The exchange rates set up for multiple countries using the Exchange Rate Type - SPOT.

Resolution

Changed the Exchange Rate Type from "SPOT to AVERAGE"

Spot Rate: Exact transaction conversions, real-time cost tracking, and when settling accounts on a specific day.

Average Rate: Reporting, forecasting, and managing project budgets without constant exposure to daily volatility.
