Issue/Introduction

In previous versions baseline ETC was available, now it's only Baseline Effort which totals the original ETC plus any actuals. Is there another field that can be used to show baseline ETC?

Resolution

In Clarity PPM, Baseline Usage (or Baseline Effort) is a system-generated total calculated at the time of the baseline using this formula: Baseline Usage = Total Actuals + Total ETC

If you need to view or report on the specific ETC value as it was when the baseline was created, you can utilize the Baseline Variance field.

Key Details for Tracking Baseline ETC:

  1. Baseline Usage: This represents the total "Baseline Work" (Actuals + ETC) at the moment of the baseline.
  2. Baseline Variance: This field specifically compares the ETC at the time of Baseline against your Current ETC.
    • Formula: Baseline Variance = (ETC at Baseline) - (Current ETC).
