Issue/Introduction

Problem:

After I upgraded from release 15 to release 16 of CA ACF2 I have noticed random S0C4 abends in REXX programs or other utilities that may use the JES interface.

Resolution:

One of the general causes for the random abends is the ACFJ2ITF JES interface module not being updated when the release 16 updates were made. It is a good practice to simply review to be sure all libraries were updated including the LNKLST and steplibs being used for your current release 16 install.

It is not unusual to forget something like the ACFJ2ITF updates, reassemble, and not get this linked or copied to the correct library, which can lead to unpredictable results.
