Issue/Introduction

This article is intended to guide on upgrade process of VCF Operations for Networks from an end-of-service version.

Environment

VCF Operations for Networks (formerly VMware Aria Operations for Networks)

Resolution

A product who's version is in an EOS state means that support for it may be delivered as "best effort" with no guaranteed resolution, and Engineering will not be involved nor will they fix any defects found in the EOS version of the product.

To ensure a stable and fully supported deployment, perform a fresh installation of latest version of VCF operation for Networks directly.

Below steps should be performed for a fresh installation for VCF Operation for Networks : 

• Decommission Data Sources : Turn off and delete all data sources before uninstalling the current deployment.
  
  
• Uninstall Existing Deployment : 
  
         For standalone deployments, follow the standard steps outlined in official documentation Uninstall VMware Aria Operations for Networks.
  
         For clustered deployments, follow  Best practices to shutdown VCF Operations for Networks Clustered deployments
  
  
• Deploy the latest version.
