Issue/Introduction

Smart Index Distribution was introduced in DLP 25.1
 
Smart Indexes optimizes the index distribution to DLP detection servers and agents. Only indexes used by policies that are assigned to detection servers and agents are replicated to the respective detection servers and agents. These indexes include EDM, IDM, DGM, EMDI, VML, and Forms.

The admin would like to enable " Smart Index Distribution" and can not locate how to enable it

To enable Smart Index Distribution

  1. Navigate to System > Settings > General.
  2. Locate Index Replication.
  3. Change the setting from Auto to Smart.
