Data Loss Prevention Cloud Detection Service for Endpoint

Issue/Introduction

A provisioned Cloud DLP Endpoint-enabled tenant should normally include a Default Configuration on the list of Agent Configurations, as shown in the following example:

However, the Default Configuration may be missing on specific CloudSOC tenants that already have a CDS for Endpoint configured. In these cases, the Agent Configuration list appears empty, even if the 'DLP Endpoint' menu is visible. The Agent Configuration list is empty as in the below screenshot:

Environment

Product: CloudSOC (CASB)/Cloud DLP
Feature: DLP Cloud Detection Service for Endpoint

Resolution

  1. Make sure that you are logged into CloudSOC as an Admin or SuperAdmin user.
  2. Verify that the "DLP Endpoint" button is visible in the CloudSOC menu. If the button is missing, this could indicate a missing feature flag on the tenant which has to be corrected by the backend team.
  3. If the "DLP Endpoint" button is present in the menu, check if the Agent Configuration list is empty.
  4. If it is empty, try to log into the CloudSOC console using an incognito/private browser session. Or, clear the current browser cache and try again.
  5. If the DLP Endpoint entitlement was only recently activated, wait for 30-60 minutes after the activation to allow it to fully complete and populate the list of Agent Configurations.
  6. If the list is still confirmed to be empty after taking the above steps, contact Technical Support and provide your Endpoint CDS Detector ID and CASB tenant ID. Support will then escalate the request to the backend engineering team for a provisioning check.

The Endpoint CDS DetectorID can be found in CASB under Settings -> Data Security Platform -> Cloud Detection Service (Channel: ENDPOINT).
The CASB tenant ID can be found in CASB under Settings -> General -> Tenant Identifier.
