Executing VCF component cleanup script do not list VSP_Cluster for VCF Automation

Issue/Introduction

Attempting to upgrade VCF Automation from version 9.0.2 to 9.1 fails with error: "Failed to reset password for VCF services runtime component with type VCFA" and during the execution of cleanup script from KB 441333, there is no VSP_Cluster found for VCF Automation listed, as a result cleanup script can't be executed.

VCF Automation 9.1

Cause

This issue occurs during Greenfield deployment and the deployment fails at the initial stage where VCFA VM's gets deployed however the installer is yet to deploy the VSP Cluster.

Resolution

Manual Cleanup Method:

1. Follow the API method to delete the VCF Automation component using the document Redeploy and Restore VCF Automation from steps01 to 10.
2. Once the steps have been performed successfully, Power off the VCF Automation virtual machines from vCenter.
3. Retrigger the VCF Automation deployment.
