Issue/Introduction

The archive storage capacity is running low, as indicated in Management > System Monitor > Resources tab.

Environment

VMware Aria Operations for Logs 8.18.x

Cause

One possible reason is insufficient storage capacity on the NFS server.

Resolution

Expand the capacity of the NFS server. After expanding the capacity on the NFS server side, perform the following steps in VMware Aria Operations for Logs.

[Procedure]

  1. Expand the capacity on the NAS side.
  2. Log in to VMware Aria Operations for Logs.
  3. Select "Log Management" > "Index Partition".
  4. Select the target partition and select the Edit button.
  5. Execute "TEST" in the "Archive Location" section.
  6. Confirm that "Test successful" is displayed.
  7. Verify that the expanded capacity is displayed in System Monitor > Archive Storage.

Additional Information

If expanding the capacity of the NFS server is difficult, filtering out unnecessary logs is also an effective solution.
