ASM HTTPS Monitor Fails with 401 Error on Redirect

Issue/Introduction

When using the App Synthetic Monitor (ASM) HTTPS monitor, a 401 Unauthorized error is returned after a redirect. Log analysis reveals that the initial request is correctly authorized with the basic auth header, but the header is not included when the monitor follows the 302 redirect.

Environment

  • App Synthetic Monitor (ASM) Public station
  • HTTPS Monitor with "Follow Redirects" enabled
  • Basic Authentication

Cause

A product defect was identified where the ASM agent (ccagent) fails to pass the basic authentication header to the destination URL when following a redirect.

Resolution

The defect has been fixed in ccagent release 25.10.7. This fix is scheduled to be included in the following hotfix release.
