Issue/Introduction

When updating the load balancer ports to non-privileged ports (e.g., changing from 443 to 7443) in an Identity Suite R15 environment, the CA Identity Manager (CAIM) connector may fail to start.

In the Identity Portal Admin UI, the connector properties show the following:

  • The autowire port is greyed out.
  • The port value displays the old or incorrect port number.
  • The CAIM connector service fails to initialize with the updated balancer ports.

Environment

IGA v15 until FixPack6.

Cause

A known defect in the Identity Suite R15 installation (FP5) prevents the CAIM connector from correctly autowiring to updated balancer ports when non-privileged ports are used.

Resolution

Permanent Fix:
This issue is resolved in Identity Suite 15.0.1 (Service Pack 1), which is targeted for release in late June 2026. Customers are advised to upgrade to this version to resolve the autowire behavior permanently.

Additional Information

Workaround
If an immediate resolution is required before the SP1 release, use the following manual workaround to update the connector port:

  1. Log in to the Identity Portal Admin UI.
  2. Navigate to Connectors and select the affected CAIM connector.
  3. Locate the Connector Properties.
  4. Uncheck the Autowired checkbox (this will enable the port field).
  5. Manually enter the correct non-privileged port number (e.g., 7443).
  6. Save the configuration and Start the connector.
