Issue/Introduction

Confirmation is required regarding the support for JBoss EAP 8.0 installation using an RPM package with a distributed directory structure. This configuration involves separating binaries, configurations, logs, and deployments across multiple directories rather than using a single standalone installation folder.

Environment

Product: IGA Xpress (Identity Suite)

Version: 15.0

Application Server: JBoss EAP 8.0 RPM based installation.

Cause

IGA Xpress 15.0 currently supports standalone/ZIP-based installations for JBoss EAP 8.0. The distributed directory structure and multiple-instance management characteristic of RPM-based deployments are not pre-configured in the current release.

Resolution

IGA Xpress is not currently set up to run multiple instances or distributed directory structures in an RPM environment.

Running multiple servers from a single JBoss instance requires switching the standalone/root directory, which necessitates specific configurations and permission changes for the igx service user.

Detailed testing and deployment instructions for the RPM installation model will be evaluated after the 15.0.1 release.
