Issue/Introduction

Need to understand regarding Optical Character Recognition (OCR) support for inline pasted screenshots within Microsoft Teams chat messages via the CDS-CASB / O365 Securlet integration.

Cause

Microsoft Teams users can paste screenshots directly into chat using shortcuts like Ctrl+V. Unlike standard attachments in OneDrive or SharePoint, Microsoft often stores these as inline hosted content or message objects. Consequently, these pasted images are currently not detected.

Resolution

DLP OCR for Cloud inspects standard file and image attachments across various cloud apps.

In Microsoft Teams, OCR triggers for uploaded files (OneDrive/SharePoint) but not for inline pasted screenshots.
