Evaluation License applied to upgraded ESX hosts in the VCF or VVF 9.1 environment

Issue/Introduction

Hosts newly upgraded from ESX 9.0.x to 9.1.0 are utilizing an evaluation license instead of the valid VCF or VVF license

• VCF Operations has been upgraded to 9.1
• vCenter has been upgraded to 9.1
• Usage Meter has been upgraded to 9.1

Environment

• VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.1
• VMware vSphere Foundation (VVF) 9.1
• VCF Operations 9.1

Cause

The License Server and/or the VCF Management Services are missing in the environment.

To apply licenses in VCF or VVF 9.1, it is required to deploy the VCF Management Services and a License Server.

Resolution

Use the steps in the provided documentation to deploy the VCF Management Services and the License Server.
