Adding VCF automation component in VCF Operations 9.1 fails

Issue/Introduction

• After successfully upgrading VCF Operations and SDDC Manager from version 9.0.x to 9.1, the VCF Automation component is no longer visible under VCF Management  
• Adding VCF Automation component fails with the error "Failed to validate import parameters. Validation failed. Please check the provided parameters and try again. Please verify the provided parameters and try again."
• Querying password using the command chage -l [user] on ssh session to VCF automation appliance shows that vmware-system-user and root user password had expired

Environment

• VCF Operations 9.1.x
• SDCC Manager 9.1.x
• VCF Automation 9.0.x

Resolution

1. Reset the vmware-system-user password following KB Resetting the vmware-system-user password for VMware Cloud Foundation Services Runtime
2. Establish an SSH connection to VCF Automation using the vmware-system-user credentials. 
3. Elevate privileges to root by executing sudo su -
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to update the root password.
5. Sign into VCF Operations UI
6. Navigate to Build → Lifecycle → Components → Add Components → Select  VCF Automation → Import 8.x appliance → Enter in the appropriate details for your VCF automation environment → Next
