Issue/Introduction

Does SYSVIEW make calls to RMF to gather data. Specifically ERBSMFI, and if so, does SYSVIEW poll RMF on some sort of an interval?

Resolution

SYSVIEW does not actively poll ERBSMFI on an interval, but it may be called from the ACTIVITY command display in certain situations.

On active ACTIVITY display if the screen refresh is set to # minutes interval it is possible, but highly unlikely. as ERBSMFI is only referenced in rare occurrences in which there happens to be an issue with the MVS or LPAR CPU data we gather through other means. If you cannot determine if this is the case go to the CMDUSAGE command display and check the counts for the ACTIVITY command. If they appear high it may be the case.
