Admin UI error "You must select a HTTP-Redirect or SOAP Single Sign-On Service"

Issue/Introduction

During SiteMinder new partnership configuration in admin UI, there was a RED text error pop up when trying to save the new partnership:

"You must select a HTTP-Redirect or SOAP Single Sign-On Service."

What causes this error?

Resolution

The error is working by design.

SiteMinder as SP only supports HTTP-Redirect, SOAP during remote SSO. Within Remote SSO Service URLs, either deselect "HTTP-POST", or remove any HTTP-POST entry.

SiteMinder documentation states:

Remote SSO Service URLs:  Identifies the single sign-on service at this remote IdP.   Click Add Row to include an entry to the table.

 

Binding: Specifies the binding that is used for single sign-on by this entity.

 

Default: HTTP-Redirect

 

Limits: HTTP-Redirect, SOAP
